"There are terrorists here, Jesse.."
Part 4 of our journey... I was at the "new hospital" and they let me off the stretcher I was brought in.. I checked in at the front desk with Jesse and then she said that a guy would be right out to do the intake of everything. Jesse must have known from talking with them what I would need because he packed me a bag full of clothes, a toothbrush, toothpaste, a brush, my breast pump and my bible. No makeup was allowed. The man came out to get us and brought us to a small ro

"I need to call 911, I've been drugged.."
Part 3 of our journey... (For privacy purposes, I won't be naming any names of family members) I was 2 months postpartum and it was 2 weeks after I had my 6 week postpartum checkup that we had family coming in town to spend some time with us.. It was so nice because one family member played with Oliver while the other helped either around the house or with the baby. It gave me time to rest and I still felt like everything was great! It wasn't until I started convincing mysel

"I'm Pregnant Again..!!??"
Part 2 of our journey... We always knew that we wanted babies close together.... Kinda a wham, bam, thank you mamn, done with diapers and bottles as soon as we can thing... So as soon as it was confirmed that I was pregnant at my OB office, my Dr. had me come into his office to discuss the plan for this time around.. Considering that no one knew why my water broke so early, we wanted to take the appropriate measures to eliminate any risks this time around.. Even with all the

"It wasn't Supposed to Be like This!"
This is Part 1 of my journey... When I was pregnant with our first child, we had just moved to Scottsdale and were unpacking, setting up rooms and getting to know our new city! Jesse and I joined a club and decided to go swim some laps to help my back soreness. So, we did, and then on our way home we stopped by the grocery store. We split up to divide and conquer and I felt something run down my leg. I went to go find him to tell him I was going to the bathroom. Maybe I h

Family Night Out
We have made it a priority in our family to intentionally set dates for Family Night Out! We budget it in monthly and plan to spend money on all going out as a family. Don't get me wrong, Jes and I love our time together out alone or with friends, but we equally love taking the boys to experience life and all that there is out there to discover. (Except for Disney... Maybe we will get there at some point..) We are a HUGE sports family, don't discriminate against any sport re

Cash Money
So we all know that money can be one of the main sources of stress, frustration, arguments, reasons for divorce, etc. Usually in a marriage each person has a different idea on how to spend, save and give money... And a lot of times, we aren't willing to give up our ideas and reasons to spend or not to spend...Perhaps it's become habitual, we grew up that way, etc. Some people are naturally more of savers and some are naturally more of spenders.. For Jesse and I, he has alway

Hardship brings Greatness
It seems to me in life that there are periods where everything seems to be going just fine... No big or real issues to deal with, nothing that really pulls at your heart strings... And then, there comes the downpour... It's kind of like the calm before the storm.. We will all have the calm, and then we will all have the storms in our lives that we navigate through and try to make sense of. I promised I'd be real with you guys.. That's just who I am.. I talk about things to ma

I'm a "Mahomie" For Life...
Well, this Super Bowl was different this year... Both Jesse and my family had a lot of skin in the game.. Jesse has been a Niners fan his entire life because of his Dad growing up in the Bay Area, and both my sisters live in Kansas/Missouri... All that being said, the young, amazing and one of a kind, Patrick Mahomes came from Texas Tech under Coach Kliff Kingsbury (Now the Arizona Cardinals coach.). So all I wanted was a good game, no injuries and the best team to win... Ev
